MAF Kit (944 NA 8-Valve)

$450.00

Important Notes
-
Fits all 944 NA 8-Valve vehicles
- F9T OBD+ Sport DME is required
- Power wire must be connected to terminal 15 on the ignition coil

Replace your worn-out and performance robbing AFM (Airflow Meter) with this modern MAF (Mass Airflow) conversion!  The factory AFM restricts airflow due to its spring-loaded flap and poor airflow characteristics. This MAF upgrade removes the restriction and provides a smooth “laminar” airflow transition from the factory air filter box.

Key Highlights
-
Performance boost at every RPM
- Simple Installation
- Compatible with all stock and performance chips
- Performance chips will add additional horsepower
- Free firmware updates via the FocusOBD software
- Light weight

After years of development, the much-anticipated F9T MAF conversion is finely here! While MAF conversions are not new to the 944, F9T takes it to a new level.

How it Works
The F9T MAF conversion relies on a MAF controller integrated into the OBD+ Sport DME. This controller converts the MAF’s “airflow-density” signal to an “airflow-volume” signal required by the DME program. It automatically compensates for changes in air temperature and altitude.

No special MAF Chip or Chipboard
Unlike traditional MAF kits, you are not tied to a custom chip or chipboard. You can run any stock or performance program you like. You do not need to worry about damaging or losing an expensive MAF chip/chipboard or waiting for a replacement to be delivered.

Firmware Updates
Because this MAF conversion is based on the OBD+ Sport DME, firmware is automatically updated when you download the latest FocusOBD software. This means you will get the latest features and any bug fixes without buying a new chip.

Simple Installation
1.      Remove the factory AFM and then bolt the MAF in its place
2.     Plug in the adapter harness and connect the power wire to terminal 15 on the ignition coil
3.     Disconnect the factory altitude switch (this is no longer needed)
4.     Enable the MAF controller in the FocusOBD software
